LKS Foundation

An Italian non-profit foundation behind a public network

The Foundation exists to promote distributed ledger technology and to build, maintain and account for the infrastructure that LKSCOIN provides.

About

What the Foundation does

LKS Foundation is an Italian non-profit foundation whose purpose is to promote and spread understanding of distributed ledger technology, and to support initiatives built on the principle of verifiable information sharing.

To pursue those objectives the Foundation created LKSCOIN — today, a network for certifying, notarising, verifying and tracing data, documents, content and processes.

The Foundation maintains the codebase, coordinates the network with its operators, publishes the technical work and accounts for how funds are used.

How we intend to work

  • Commit only to what is funded. Publicly declared deliverables have budget coverage and a date; everything else is labelled as direction.
  • Publish on a fixed cadence. An update every two weeks, short is fine, negative results included.
  • State limits before a client finds them. The legal perimeter of the proof is written into the technical and commercial material.
  • Discuss economic changes in advance. Anything affecting operators goes to the working group before it is proposed.
Transparency

Accounting for what was donated

Donations raised carry an obligation of transparency toward the people who gave. The Foundation publishes an updated statement — amount raised, amount spent, what it was spent on, and the remaining balance.

Treasury statement

Published and kept current, covering funds raised, expenditure by destination and remaining balance.

Budget allocation

The funded plan allocates budget by phase, with a contingency reserve that is itself accounted for. Zero allocation to marketing and graphic materials.

Verifiable progress

Every funded phase has a deliverable that can be checked from outside the project: a report, a testnet, a migrated network, a working service.

Community

Reactivation starts with the people who stayed

Operators who kept their nodes running through four quiet years bring three things the project cannot buy: technical competence, volunteer effort and legitimacy.

We are forming a technical working group of 5 to 10 of them. Without that group, any relaunch is perceived — correctly — as an operation imposed from outside.

A fixed update cadence completes the picture. What distinguishes a live project from one that publishes a document and disappears is regularity, not volume.

Partners and integrations

The Foundation is open to working with qualified trust service providers, DPP platform vendors, ERP and MES integrators, and industrial partners willing to run a real pilot.

If your organisation fits one of those descriptions, the contact form below reaches the right people directly.
